Hello from early 2016 :D Warm greetings for you all. This is my first review of 2016, so enjoy.
Sangkaya is an artisan ice cream franchise in Malaysia and widely famous throughout Malaysia because their store is spread all over the nation. Sangkaya starts their business from street stall and now they're expanded their business until as big as it is now. The main focus of their business is the Coconut ice cream, and they're really good at it.
I visited their outlet at Jalan Telawi Bangsar, which is very near from where i stay in Malaysia. The store is not too big but always packed during mid day because their ice cream is such a perfect companion in hot weather.
Sangkaya is not selling Coconut ice cream but also Coconut shakes that worth to try, They're also have Thai tea infused coconut ice cream and it's so good, they're also have lots of topping varieties that suits perfectly with the ice cream.
Signature Coconut Ice Cream
RM 10.50
This is the looks of their signature ice cream, with only RM 10.50 you can have 4 scoops ice cream and what's good about it you can mix the ice cream that consist of 2 scoops of Coconut ice cream and Thai tea coconut ice cream. I don't know what i can say but their ice cream was too good, the coconut ice cream is somehow so creamy yet subtle, you can actually taste the coconut milk flavor, while the thai tea ice cream was the bomb. The thai tea version is much stronger, i always love thai tea and when it comes in ice cream version i absolutely can't resist it. the thai tea was strong but not overpowering the coconut flavor which is good, and it's even more enhanced the flavor of the coconut milk.
Overall Sangkaya is totally fulfilled my taste bud, and i'm so thankful that during my internships in Kuala Lumpur i have an opportunity to taste the goodness of their ice cream, i assure you that whenever you come to KL, Sangkaya is not to be missed because it surely good and you have to try it once in a lifetime.
